Black Ops weapon question?

Ok so i have looked EVERYWHERE but could not find an answer anywhere and i was wondering, on the cover of black ops the guy is holding mustang and sally the pack a punched m1911's but what are the assault rifles on his back? At first i thought it was an m16 but someone told me it was a commando. Does anyone know for sure which it is?
